She went on to complete her obstetrics and gynaecology training with Monash Health, Eastern Health and West Gippsland Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Passionate about women\u2019s health and wellbeing, Dr Fitzgerald empowers patients to understand their fertility, so they are informed and feel confident. She is interested in all areas of fertility, particularly supporting individuals and couples who are beginning their fertility journey, considering egg freezing and managing PCOS. Her philosophy centres on being approachable, empowering and supportive.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Fitzgerald also has a special interest in the management of heavy menstrual bleeding, minimally invasive surgery (both laparoscopy and hysteroscopy), and management of cervical dysplasia.<\/p>\n<p>Her commitment to women\u2019s health extends internationally to the Pacific. During her training, she worked at a large teaching hospital in Fiji and continues to return regularly to teach, perform surgery, and mentor local doctors.
