Q&A with
Dr Lauren Saunders
Dr Saunders: “Going on the journey with my patients. Fertility can be a roller coaster with its ups and downs. But the absolute favourite part of my job is scanning a new pregnancy and hearing that heartbeat for the first time. Helping patients through every stage is incredibly rewarding.”
Dr Saunders: “I listen to my patients; every woman has different concerns and priorities. Often these patients blame themselves unfairly, so it’s my role to offer support and encourage simple lifestyle changes coupled with tailored fertility support to achieve our combined goals.”
Dr Saunders: “For many women starting a family when they are younger isn’t an option, be it due to their career or not finding the right partner. I provide guidance on options like egg freezing when appropriate, particularly for patients concerned about family timing or reproductive health preservation.”
Dr Saunders: “I prioritise open dialogue, ensuring each patient understands the risks, benefits, and likely outcomes of their personalized treatment plan. I also believe that allowing time to answer questions and listen to patient concerns is paramount to achieving their fertility goals.”
Dr Saunders: “Advocating for women’s health extends beyond fertility, I work to educate and support all aspects of reproductive wellbeing across my clinical work.”
