Dr Trueman is an experienced and compassionate fertility specialist, obstetrician, and gynaecologist who provides care across the Gold Coast and Northern NSW. He is known for his patient-focused approach and commitment to helping individuals and families through all stages of fertility, pregnancy, and women’s health.
He completed his medical degree at the University of Manchester in 1987 and undertook further training in Queensland and London. After specialising in infertility and earning his Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) in 1999, he established a long-standing private practice—first in Lismore, and now on the Gold Coast.
Dr Trueman currently sees patients privately at John Flynn Private Hospital in Tugun and publicly at The Tweed Hospital. He also offers consultations from his Robina clinic to better serve the surrounding region.
His areas of expertise include:
- Fertility assessments and treatment
- Obstetric care, including high-risk pregnancies
- Advanced gynaecological surgery (including laparoscopic procedures, endometriosis treatment, and pelvic floor repair)
In addition to his clinical work, Dr Trueman is actively involved in medical education. He is an Associate Professor at Bond University and a mentor at Griffith University, helping to train and inspire the next generation of doctors.
