Dr Tudawe expertise lies in IVF and fertility care, as well as gynaecology and obstetrics. She is dedicated to providing women-centred care. Her personalised and compassionate approach empowers patients to make informed decisions. Dr Tudawe holds a BMedSc (Hons), MBBS, and fellowship of RANZCOG and also continues to work as a consultant staff specialist at Logan Hospital

Her clinical expertise spans IVF and fertility care, general gynaecology, minimally invasive surgery, menopause management, and holistic pelvic pain treatment. She brings substantial experience from rural and regional healthcare, including managing high-risk obstetric cases

Dr Tudawe is fluent in Sinhalese, enabling her to connect with diverse patient communities. Outside of medicine, she cherishes family time and loves baking in her downtime. Telehealth appointments are available for added convenience.

1. What drew you to specialise in fertility care?

Dr Tudawe: “Working in rural and regional settings early in my career exposed me to the real-life impact of fertility issues. Joining City Fertility has given me the platform to support patients through preconception, IVF, and beyond.”

2. How does your background in gynaecology inform your fertility practice?

Dr Tudawe: “My grounding in general gynaecology, minimally invasive surgery, pelvic pain, and menopause means I can manage the full spectrum of reproductive health, ensuring fertility plans consider your whole wellbeing.”

3. Why is a holistic approach to pelvic pain important?

Dr Tudawe: “Pelvic pain is rarely one-dimensional. By taking a holistic view (I assess surgical, hormonal, and lifestyle factors we can better understand and treat pain, especially when it affects fertility and quality of life. We work together with a team of Dieticians, Pelvic floor physiotherapist to maximise your treatment goals.”

4. How do you support multicultural communities in your practice?

Dr Tudawe: “Being multilingual and raised in diverse clinical settings helps me connect with multicultural patients. I strive to provide culturally sensitive, inclusive care tailored to families from all backgrounds.”

5. What should first-time fertility patients expect?

Dr Tudawe: “Expect a step-by-step, reassuring process with the couple. We begin with assessments, discuss options like IVF or natural interventions, optimising your fertility health, and I’m always here to answer questions at each stage.”
