Dr Devora Lieberman is a highly experienced fertility specialist and gynaecologist, who takes pride in being your advocate and source of calm during what can be a difficult journey. She believes in working closely with you to listen, to reassure, and to guide you, drawing on her extensive knowledge so you can feel confident about your fertility options.
She works primarily in IVF and fertility care, recurrent miscarriage, ovarian ageing. Her approach is evidence-based, compassionate, and deeply focused on helping you have the family you want.
Dr Lieberman is Medical Director of City Fertility’s New South Wales clinics, practising at both Sydney CBD and Frenchs Forest. Patients benefit from her over 25 years of experience in fertility and miscarriage care, as well as her international training and leadership in women’s health.
She is well known for her open and honest style. Many patients come to her after experiencing IVF failure or repeated miscarriage, and are comforted by her reassurance that, in most cases, a pregnancy failure is not due to anything the patient did. She places strong emphasis on what she can do. Supporting embryo quality, using genetic insights, or helping those facing age-related fertility decline to improve chances.
Outside her clinical work, Dr Lieberman is co-author (with Clare Hall) of Empowered Fertility, a book offering holistic support for infertility and IVF treatment. She has also served long-term in leadership roles such as President of Family Planning NSW and as a board member and past Vice President of the Fertility Society of Australia, bringing a voice for patient-centred fertility care at a broader level.
Q&A:
Dr Lieberman: “I’m a strong believer in reproductive choice… I went to medical school hoping to become President of Planned Parenthood one day. I’m now equally passionate about helping people who want to become parents”.
Dr Lieberman: “Perhaps because I’ve been in practice for so long that I work with people who have had a difficult time conceiving. I specialise in advising women facing the age-related decline in fertility, and I’ve had over 20 years of experience in evaluating and treating recurrent miscarriage.”
Dr Lieberman: “I’m an advocate for personalised, compassionate, evidence-based care, often incorporating lifestyle changes, holistic strategies, and honest communication as part of the journey.”
