Dr Krish Karthigasu is a locally trained Gynaecologist, working in Perth, England, Melbourne and Sydney.
He has Fellowships with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrician and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) and the Royal College of Obstetrician and Gynaecologist (RCOG)
He has done a post FRANZCOG fellowship in Advance Laparoscopic and Hysteroscopic Surgery with Sydney Women’s Endosurgery Centre and the Centre for Advanced Reproductive Endosurgery. With specialisation in Endometriosis surgery and surgery for sub fertility (laparoscopic and hysteroscopic) He returned to Perth to set up the Endoscopy Clinic at KEMH in 2002 and has been Head of Department since 2007. This unit specialised in advanced minimally invasive surgery and laparoscopic surgery and Endometriosis. This is a state wide service. He is the Director of training for WA in advanced Endoscopic surgery for the Australasian Gynaecology Endoscopic and Surgical Society (AGES) training laparoscopic surgeons for the future and has been a board member and treasurer of the society.
He currently is a RANZCOG examiner, training supervisor and member of the training and accreditation committee. Past WA RANZCOG T&A Chair and ITP co-ordinator He has had positions of Clinical Senior Lecturer and Clinical Associate Professor with the University of WA and has research in endometriosis, laparoscopic surgery, hysteroscopic surgery and surgical teaching. He has presented both nationally and internationally and numerous publications in his areas of expertise. He has experience in fertility in England and has worked with Fertility Specialist of WA for over 15 years, with interests in fertility for endometriosis patients and fertility enhancing surgery and has had 25 years’ experience in treating endometriosis patients. . His areas of expertise and passion include Endometriosis management- medical, surgical and fertility, menstrual disorders and options of treatment, surgery for sub fertility, fertility assessment and investigation and management.
He uses evidence-based medicine, guidelines and experience to help endometriosis and subfertility patients navigate their journey through their fertility options.
