Dr Andrew Zuschmann has spent more than 25 years helping people through some of the most important moments in their lives. As a fertility specialist, obstetrician, and gynaecologist, he is passionate about providing care that is not only expert and evidence-based, but also personal, supportive, and compassionate.
What patients often notice first about Andrew is the time he takes to listen. He wants to understand each person’s story, their concerns, and their hopes, so that together they can create a plan that feels right. Whether it’s navigating fertility challenges, managing pregnancy, or seeking ongoing gynaecological support, Andrew believes that care should always be individualised — never “one size fits all.”
Andrew’s approach is grounded in both knowledge and kindness. After graduating in medicine from the University of New South Wales in 1996, he completed his specialist training in 2005 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG). He went on to complete a Master of Reproductive Medicine in 2008, deepening his expertise in fertility care. These strong academic foundations underpin his calm and approachable style, giving patients both confidence in his knowledge and comfort in his care.
His clinical interests include fertility treatment, recurrent miscarriage, PCOS, and menopause, and he offers ongoing gynaecological support alongside fertility care to ensure continuity for his patients. Many describe him as empathetic, relaxed, and easy to talk to — someone who helps make even the most sensitive conversations feel safe and comfortable.
For Andrew, the most rewarding part of his work is being there for patients through their entire journey: from the very first conversations about fertility, through the ups and downs of treatment, to pregnancy, birth, and beyond. His goal is always to make patients feel informed, empowered, and cared for — every step of the way.
