    Medicare Rebates for Single Women

If you’re considering IVF for single women in Australia, recent changes to Medicare mean you no longer need a medical diagnosis of infertility to access the Medicare fertility rebate. This change helps make IVF and donor sperm treatments more affordable for single women in Australia.

Our team can guide you through your rebate eligibility and ensure you have the information needed to begin your fertility journey with clarity and confidence.

    Fertility Options

Take the first step towards parenthood. At City Fertility, we offer a range of personalised fertility treatments for single women using donor sperm:

    Donor Insemination (IUI)
A simple, gentle procedure that places prepared sperm into the uterus during ovulation. Ideal for those without known fertility issues.
    IVF with Donor Sperm
Your egg is combined with donor sperm in a specialist fertility lab, and the resulting embryo is transferred to your uterus. The treatment is tailored to your age, fertility history, and individual needs.
    Egg Freezing
If you’re not ready to begin your journey yet, egg freezing lets you preserve your fertility. After hormone stimulation and egg collection, your eggs are frozen for future use. Your fertility specialist will help you assess if this option aligns with your goals.

    The Process

Accessing donor sperm as a single woman is easier than you might think. The process involves three key steps:
Step 1. Explore Addam Donor Bank

Download the Addam Donor Bank app or visit the website to browse Australia’s largest selection of clinic-recruited sperm donors. You can search, filter and shortlist donors based on the characteristics that matter most to you.

Step 2. Appointment with a City Fertility Specialist

Your fertility specialist will discuss your donor options and medical background. You may need routine blood tests and genetic screening. We strongly recommend expanded carrier screening for all donor recipients.

    Step 3. Register

Once your treatment plan is confirmed, we’ll provide a registration form. Our team will then support you through each step of becoming ‘Donor Ready’.
