Dr Pregs Pillay is a highly experienced fertility specialist, obstetrician, gynaecologist, and expert in diagnostic ultrasound. He cares for patients at City Fertility in East Melbourne and is also affiliated with Rainbow Fertility and Epworth Freemasons Hospital.
With more than 25 years of experience, Dr Pillay has supported thousands of patients through their fertility and pregnancy journeys and has safely delivered over 5,000 babies. He completed his medical degree at the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa in 1990 and undertook further specialist training at The Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne.
Dr Pillay is known for his holistic approach, combining expert fertility care, gynaecology, obstetrics, and advanced imaging. He holds a DDU (Diploma in Diagnostic Ultrasound), and uses real-time ultrasound throughout treatment to improve accuracy, provide reassurance, and help patients better understand their care every step of the way.

Dr Pillay: Provides a one stop shop for all diagnostic tests required to ascertain your cause for infertility ranging from detailed pelvic imaging to tubal patency testing and follicular tracking.
Dr Pillay: “My practice includes thorough pre-conception evaluation, lifestyle planning, IVF options, IUI, referral to donor cycles, and emotional support via City Fertility’s nurses and psychologists.”
Dr Pillay: “From 7–8 weeks gestation, I offer dating scans, genetic testing discussions, and flexible visit schedules with monthly to weekly appointments, and no extra cost for reassurance visits. Delivery is at Epworth Freemasons.”
