What qualifies as a complex fertility case?
Complex fertility requires specialised testing, and benefit of a highly experienced specialist. These may include:
Recurrent miscarriage – defined as three or more consecutive miscarriages.
Repeated unsuccessful IVF cycles
If you have undergone several IVF cycles without success, relating to implantation failure or poor embryo development, advanced scientific and genetic assessment may be recommended
Known genetic conditions – people with inherited conditions such as cystic fibrosis, haemophilia and many others may require specialised genetic counselling and genetic testing.
Multi factorial medical factors – when either partner has a combination of medical conditions such as an autoimmune disease, diminished ovarian reserve, PCOS, and metabolic disorders for example the fertility journey can become more complex. In these cases, careful treatment planning and multidisciplinary care are essential.
